On March 4, 2020 Consul General Andreas Launer welcomed a delegation of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), led by Los Angeles Regional Director Amanda Susskind, at the Consulate General.
Main topics of the meeting were efforts to fight anti-Semitism in the United States and Europe, the work of the Austrian Holocaust Memorial Servants in Los Angeles, and an amendment to the Austrian citizenship law for the benefit of direct descendants of victims of Nazi-persecution in Austria. The ADL officials and the Consul General also discussed possible cooperation projects in the Los Angeles area focusing on the important Austrian-Jewish heritage in California.
