On May 30, 2019, the Embassy welcomed some 50 high school students with their teachers from around the United States, Mexico, and Canada for a presentation on all things Austrian. Organized by the Close-Up Foundation, the group was greeted by Hannes Richter of the Embassy's Information Service, who introduced the students to several aspects of Austria, ranging from historical milestones to politics, and Austrian business in the United States. The presentation was followed by lively Q&A session, which touched upon a wide range of topics, from Austrian food to the role of winter sports and tourism in the Austrian economy.
