On November 17, 2017, Wolfgang Reichenberger was officially inaugurated as Austrian Honorary Consul to The Bahamas by Ambassador Wolfgang Waldner. The inauguration ceremony in Nassau was attended by Brent Symonette, Bahamian Minister of Financial Services, Trade and Industry and Immigration, as well as other dignitaries, including representatives of the diplomatic and business communities.
On this trip, Ambassador Waldner also met with Bahamian Foreign Minister Darren Allen Henfield, Minister of Tourism and Aviation Dionisio James D'Aguilar, former Prime Minister Hubert Alexander Ingraham, and attended the opening of the SLS Hotel Baha Mar by Prime Minister Hubert Minnis.
Before heading to the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, Ambassador Waldner attended the presentation of the program of the Salzburg Festival 2018 by Festival President Helga Rabl-Stadler and Artistic Director Markus Hinterhaeuser at the Salzburg Festival Society in New York City.
