Bahamas' Governor-General Receives New Austrian Ambassador

On June 15, 2021, Martin Weiss was officially installed as the Austrian Ambassador to the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. During a formal ceremony at Government House in Nassau, he presented his letter of credence to Governor-General H.E. Sir Cornelius A. Smith, the representative of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, Queen of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas and of Her other Realms and Territories.

Ambassador Weiss was accompanied to the ceremony by Dr. Wolfgang Reichenberger, Austria’s Honorary Consul to the archipelago in the West Indies residing in Nassau.

Before the ceremony at Government House, then Ambassador-Designate Martin Weiss paid a courtesy call on the Bahamian Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Hon. Darren A. Henfield.
