Austria’s Government Congratulates U.S. President Biden on Inauguration

As the 46th U.S. President, Joseph R. Biden, Jr. and his Vice President, Kamala D. Harris, took the oath of office on January 20, 2021, political leaders and top officials from Austria reached out to embrace the incoming U.S. Administration, offering heartfelt congratulations and expressing their hopes for strong transatlantic cooperation, especially in addressing global challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change.

The Austrian Ambassador to the United States, Martin Weiss, attended the inauguration ceremony on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., which was being held this year in a very limited format, in person.
