Austrian Airlines resumed flights to the United States on July 1, 2020, after a coronavirus-mandated interruption. Austria’s flagship carrier now (re-) connects Vienna with Chicago, New York (Newark), and Washington, DC (Dulles) three times a week.

After a break of more than 100 days one of the first regular long-haul flights operated by Austrian Airlines took off from Vienna on July 1, 2020, at 10:33 am as flight OS 89. The Boeing 767 with the registration OE-LAX landed on time at Newark Airport in New Jersey at around 1:45 pm, followed by flights OS 65 landing in Chicago, and OS 93 in Washington Dulles.

Prospective travelers are advised to check with the airline regarding the details at www.austrian.com.

In addition, please be mindful of current restrictions affecting travel between Austria and the United States. The latest information on this subject can be found here.
