Austrian Consulate General Los Angeles honored at California State Senate

In celebration of its 50th anniversary the Austrian Consulate General in Los Angeles was honored at the California State Senate. On June 6, 2019, State Senator Ben Allen, chair of the Joint Committee on the Arts and chair of the Legislative Jewish Caucus, presented a special resolution to Consul General Andreas Launer and his delegation on the Senate floor in Sacramento.

The resolution recognizes the importance of the Consulate General as a key hub for deepening ties between Austria and California. Moreover, it appreciates the fundamental contributions of individuals with Austrian roots to the development of the Golden State, its film industry, architecture, lifestyle, economy and politics. In his congratulatory statement at the Senate plenary session Senator Allen also highlighted the deep friendship between Austria and California and the robust synergies in areas such as high tech and green economy.
