Vienna was one of the places Josef Moser, the Austrian Federal Minister for Constitutional Affairs, Reforms, Deregulation and Justice, visited during his stay in Washington, DC. The Virginian city was named after the Austrian capital and is the home of the FBI Terrorist Screening Center that Moser came to inspect.

Moser’s visit at the Center was preceded by a number of technical meetings at the U.S. Department of Justice, where he met with representatives to discuss issues ranging from computer crimes and intellectual property, money laundering to asset recovery and fraud. He also participated in the EU-U.S. Justice and Home Affairs Ministerial Meeting together with the Austrian Federal Minister for the Interior, Herbert Kickl.
Besides, Justice Minister Moser held bilateral meetings on administrative and state reform withDirector of the Office of Management and Budget at the White House Mick Mulvaney, on oversight with the Inspector General for the Department of Justice Michael E. Horowitz and about the EU-U.S. privacy shield with General Counsel Peter B. Davidson from the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Moser had arrived in DC on November 6, 2018, and headed further to New York by train on November 9. There, he held talks with Geoffrey S. Berman, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, as well as with the Hon. Lawrence K. Marks, Chief Administrative Judge of the Courts of New York State.
At the United Nations, he met with the Assistant Secretary-General for Legal Affairs Stephen Mathias and with Vladimir Ivanovich Voronkov, the Under-Secretary-General of the Counter-Terrorism Office.
