TSA – Traktionssysteme Austria – received a prestigious commission to develop and produce drive motors for Caltrain’s high-speed rail project in Silicon Valley. The trains are scheduled to run by the end of 2019 from San Francisco through Silicon Valley to San Jose, thereby connecting technology centers like Palo Alto and Menlo Park.
Traktionssysteme Austria is the leading independent manufacturer of electromechanical equipment powering railway rolling stock. TSA’s current programs in the United States see deliveries for various streetcar, LRV (light rail vehicles) and self-propelled, diesel-electric commuter train programs.
