Austrian Minister of Finance, Hans Joerg Schelling, and Austrian Central Bank Governor Ewald Nowotny, represented Austria at the 2017 Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund, which took place from April 21-23, 2017.

The Austrian delegation held meetings with World Bank President Jim Yong Kim, Vice Chairman of the Fed Stanley Fischer, representatives of the U.S. Treasury, and met over lunch with the Heritage Foundation, the Peterson Institute, as well as professors from Johns Hopkins University and The George Washington University.
