The conference will be held in honor of Professor Herbert C. Kelman, who had to flee his native Vienna in 1939 and served as the Richard Clarke Cabot Professor of Social Ethics at Harvard University until 2004. Professor Kehlmann will join the conference on the occasion of his 90th birthday.

The aim of the conference is to bring together high-ranking scholar-practitioners from around the world in an inter-disciplinary debate about avenues for transforming intractable conflicts. Besides further development of the theoretical, methodological and practical insights by Professor Kelman, invited participants can also join the celebrations of Herbert C. Kelman’s 90th birthday.
