Austrian artist Clara Blume played a sold-out show at the Embassy of Austria on August 7, 2015. During her 90 minute solo set, Ms. Blume presented her debut album “Here comes everything”. In an interview before her show, she talked to the Austrian Press- & Information Service about her album, her role as “spokesperson” for Austria’s singer-songwriter scene, and the difference between Austrian and U.S. pop music.
Art Restitution in Austria – An ending story?
On July 22, 2015 the historians Linda Erker and Stefan Wedrac gave a presentation on the Austrian restitution system. While Ms. Erker focused on her work at the Department for Restitution Affairs at the Jewish Community Vienna (IKG) and the current difficulties in restitution research, Mr. Wedrac’s presentation gave a detailed overview of the history of restitution of property in general with a special emphasis on art since 1945.
