From April 20 to 26, 2015, a delegation of Business Upper Austria, consisting of state and local government officials, industry and business-leaders, as well as academics and journalists visited Washington, D.C. and Detroit, MI.
In the U.S. capital, the group met with U.S. Senator John Isakson (R-GA) and senior officials of the Department of Commerce and the Federal Reserve to foster the business relationship between the state of Upper Austria and the U.S.
After tours of various businesses, the delegation travelled to Detroit to participate in the SAE World Congress, a meeting of the global association for engineers and related technical experts in the aerospace, automotive and commercial-vehicle industries, and visited the Ford Rouge Factory.
