Minister Sebastian Kurz visited San Francisco and the Silicon Valley from April 28 until May 1, 2015.
Together with 22 tech entrepreneurs from Austrian startups, he informed himself about the booming technology sector in the U.S., visiting the offices of Facebook, Google and a number of tech-startups in California:
“The new global challenges and crises concern both politics and new media – this is why we visited companies like Facebook and Google: We can only tackle global challenges through cooperation” said Kurz after a visit at Facebook headquarters.
The trip also helped to connect the Austrian startup scene with successful U.S. companies and provided the Austrian entrepreneurs with role models for future projects.
