Meet the architect of Austria's Most Modern University Campus

Join the Embassy of Austria on April 14 and 15 at 7:30 pm for the Exhibition and discussion of "CAMPUS WU - A HOLISTIC HISTORY": Meet Laura P. Spinadel, one of the leading architects of the new campus of the WU Vienna (Vienna University of Economics and Business). Spinadel and her team from BUSarchitektur developed the framework for all participating architects, including location, traffic routes, light, sun and wind.

In October 2013, the WU opened its new campus in the area between Vienna Fair and Prater. Within four years, six exceptional buildings were erected, each planned by an internationally renowned architect. The campus, developed on an area of 90.000 square meters, is situated within a carefully planned, multiplex public- and greenery space concept.

Laura P. Spinadel, born in 1958 in Buenos Aires, went to a German School and later studied architecture in Buenos Aires. From 1984 to 1986, she worked at the Institute of City Planning at the University of Applied Arts Vienna (Austria) before becoming a freelance architect. In 1986, she founded the architecture office "BUSarchitektur" together with fellow architect Claudio J. Blazica in Buenos Aires. They moved to Vienna in 2003, where their tireless commitment won them numerous prizes, such as the Otto Wagner Prize for urban development. In 2008 they won the call for proposals to design the campus of the new Vienna University of Economics and Business.
