On November 18, 2021, the Austrian Consul General in Los Angeles, Dr. Michael Postl, met with the Governor of Oregon, Kate Brown. It was Dr. Postl’s first official visit to Oregon since he assumed his post in August 2021.

During the meeting in Salem, the capital city of Oregon, they exchanged views on topics such as climate change, renewable energy, education, tourism and COVID-19, and also discussed possibilities for cooperation between the State of Oregon and Austria.
