Have a Great Summer Break, John Eaton Fifth Graders!

On May 29, 2018, students from John Eaton Elementary School in Northwest Washington, DC gave their final presentation about Austria, their adopted country for this year. They showed off all their hard work and dedication (including a tasting of authentic Austrian apple strudel, a violin recital and a Viennese waltz dance performance).

The director of the Austrian Press and Information Service, Thorsten Eisingerich, thanked Ms. Lombardo and her fifth-grade students Aaron, Allie, Amar, Areli, Charlotte, Clarence, Cole, Cristian, Edith, Elon, Grayson, Helen, Ishmael, Jonah, Joshua, Laura, Larry, Maren, Maya, Micah, Rafael, Samara, and Somaia for a great year.

The Embassy Adoption Program is a partnership between DC Public Schools and Washington Performing Arts, which pairs embassies with fifth and sixth grade classes for a year's worth of cross-cultural learning, projects, and enrichment activities.

Our students were awarded with Manner Wafers and PEZemoji candy dispensers #TasteOfAustria
