Family Fun at the Austrian Embassy
During a sunny break in a rainy week, we welcomed over 3,000 guests at the Embassy for the 10th annual EU Open House Day on Saturday, May 14. Our visitors learned about Austrian culture and cuisine and enjoyed a relaxed party atmosphere with the Red Bull Wheels party truck and Austrian beer and bratwurst.
While Embassy staff and the Austrian Tourism Board gave an overview of Austrian destinations, ample culinary experiences were also provided. The team from At Kaiser’s provided Eggenberg Pils, Stiegl Radler and Bratwürste for hungry and thirsty guests, Austrian chef Sabeena gave a Kaiserschmarrn presentation, while sommelier Klaus Wittauer hosted three wine seminars.
