Austria has two new Honorary Consuls: Reinhold Krammer in Chicago, IL and Clement H. Luken in Cincinnati, OH. Honorary Consul Clement H. Luken in a high-profile business lawyer. His wife Irene is Austrian-born and is active as coordinator of the German Program at Xavier University in Cincinnati. For years already, the Lukens are committed to Austrian causes and initiatives in the Cincinnati area.

His jurisdiction will encompass the Southwestern part of the State of Ohio as well as the states of Kentucky and Indiana.

In Chicago, Reinhold Krammer, a business lawyer whose parents immigrated from Austria to the U.S., was inaugurated on July 24, 2014. Chicago and the Midwest area is an important region for Austrian business. In Illinois alone, over 40 Austrian companies are present with branches and offices. His jurisdiction will cover the states of Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa.
